The Development Coordinator contributes to the success of the organization by professionally completing all grant reporting requirements to current and prospective funders, articulating the work of Freedom To Thrive in proposals for new and renewal funding, and supporting the solicitation and stewardship of individual donors who support FTT’s work.
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage grant calendar and fundraising plan, and track all grant requirements and deadlines
- Partner with FTT staff to develop proposals to describe the organization’s work and case for support
- Complete all requirements for grant renewals and grant prospects including writing letters of inquiry, full proposals, and reports
- Work with FTT Co-Directors to identify new grant opportunities and individual prospects
- Cultivate funder relationships and participate in funder calls as needed
- Maintain an archive of all completed grant materials
- Work with Co-Directors to produce reports for funders, donors, and FTT Board of Directors
- Review data on grant funding progress and prepare reports that detail applications submitted, their outcomes, and progress towards fundraising goals
- Manage and grow FTT’s individual sustainer program
- Develop vehicles to engage and activate FTT’s supporters
Qualifications:
- Understanding of the diverse communities that FTT works and organizes with
- Previous experience with fundraising databases/software management
- Ability to work collaboratively, problem-solve, and ask for help
- Accountability to the tasks within the scope of work
- Strong written communication and team-building skills
- Ability to think critically and creatively, prioritize multiple projects, and commit to learning
Requirements:
- Alignment with mission, vision, and goals of Freedom to Thrive, and a strong political commitment to social justice
- Computer proficiency
- Lived experience working with multiracial communities and settings
- 2 years prior nonprofit fundraising experience
- Strong written communications skills and attention to detail
- Accountability to the tasks within the scope of work
- Ability to multitask, manage time, ask for support and work independently
- Ability to think critically and creatively
- A commitment to engage in transformative practices as a tool to resolve conflict and further develop your role in the organization
- A commitment to engage in healing justice and create a self-care action plan, integrating personal and organizational health and wellness services
Compensation:
We are offering a salary of $55,000 – $60,000 plus a robust benefits package, including:
